There was great excitement for our visit to Dublin Zoo last week. The coach collected the children from Little Learners in the morning and off we set. The group participated in the Winter Woollies Programme. This interactive programme helps preschool children to understand the connection between the farm and the clothes we wear in our everyday lives. We then took a break for some lunch. After lunch, we had a talk and tour of the farm which provided the children with the opportunity to connect their new learning to the real life animals they visited. This linked in with our 'Exploring and Thinking' strand from Aistear. A fun filled day was had by everyone.
Little Learners came to Drumcondra in 2011 and quickly established a firm footing in the area. Our award winning "Stay and Play" After-School Club delivers a unique and innovative programme for our beloved after-schoolers who benefit form a warm, friendly and fun environment.
