Answers to your common Pre-School & Montessori questions
What age do you cater for?
We take children from 2 years and 9 months until they are ready for school.
Must my child be toilet trained?
Yes all children must be toilet trained before commencing Montessori and Pre-School.
What are your opening hours?
Little Learners are open from 8am to 6pm. Our Pre-School runs from 9am to 1pm. Additional hours available on request.
Do you operate the ECCE scheme?
Yes we have ECCE places. The government funds ECCE places for 3 hours a day [ 9 to 12 ]
Does the same program run in both premises?
Yes we run the same programme in both locations.
What additional activities are included if my child stays till 1pm?
Little Learners run dance, yoga, music, Ted and Irish storytelling on a weekly basis.
We don’t speak Irish. How will my child manage?
We use Irish during the day and all children attend our Naíonra for a session daily. There is no pressure and the children learn easily.
What does my child need to bring?
A small healthy snack and a change of clothes.
Can I add extra days and times?
We will always try to amend times and days if we have spaces but we cannot guarantee places.
How are fees calculated?
Fees are calculated over the 38 school year and divided by 10 months so the monthly charge remains the same regardless of five week months and holidays.
My child comes on Mondays. How do you deal with bank holidays?
All these children are invited to our Friday events and in fact get more extra days than bank holidays.
