Our Methods
Little Learners operate a unique service that puts the arts at the centre of learning.
Our method uses stories, arts and crafts, songs, drama and the Irish language. We encourage the children to use the Irish they learn throughout the day and great emphasis is put on the fun of learning new words. The method we pioneered is now used in university publications as a learning model for early childcare educators.
Montessori Method
We use the Montessori Method which teaches the child to learn to do it themselves. Montessori said that “play is the work of the child” so all our activities are geared towards the child’s individual learning. Our Montessori classrooms are fully stocked and the children work through the materials at their own pace with individual attention as all work is presented on a one to one basis.
Science and Nature
Our programs aim to introduce the children to the wonder of the world. We do this by simple experiments and following the interests of the individual child.
